4/19/2017 4 Comments you deserve peace!Unclenching the barriers let me fly today! The sky is the limit let me try today! Help me disentangle, help me unwind. I do not want to be judgmental, let me speak my mind… I have decided to let go of what I can’t control, be kind to myself before I rest in peace let me embrace my blessings and let me just breathe. Life will end in seconds, leaving everything behind, I want to live each moment. So help me unwind. When I was young, I always wanted to grow up! When I am grown up, I want to be a child again! At every age, we have aspirations, wishes, and desires may it be materialistic, future -related anxieties. Carried away by the feeling of heaviness, nothing can provide us solace. Nothing comforts us!! The fleeting nature of each moment generates curiosity and restlessness that hinders our positive energy and gives birth to agitation and aversion. Sceptical doubts are no less than virtual suffering-Doubting others credentials, pre-conceived notions thrive upon our positive energy, and hinder our growth. They are as bad as virtual suffering! Unhealthy comparisons -Valuing what we have and comparing it with others arises depressive feeling and anger. “Comparison is a systematic way of insulting your uniqueness and gifting yourself with misery”-H G Krishnan. That reminds me of an incident. Almost two years ago, I had a helper who was underprivileged. Four kids and a drunkard husband, who would splurge her entire salary into gambling, and drinking! Initially, she was perturbed, but gradually she discovered the panacea. Being aware of her earnings; she strategically worked on it. Taking the help of all the people whom she worked with. There was no hint of frowning on her face thereafter, never did she complain about her livelihood. Her ever-smiling face had lots to teach us. Her acceptance of being what she was capable of, and how much she can attain, helped her unclench all the hindrances. She almost lived break free, not controlled by her emotions. Not that she didn’t make a rigorous effort to do better, but by setting her goals and limits she executed the plans in an organised way. Contentment is a state of the heart, unaffected by outward circumstances. Important is to have peace of mind and acceptance for what we have and let go of the things which are beyond our control. "Begin doing what you want to do now.We are not living in eternity. We have only the moment, sparkling like a star in our hand and melting like a snowflake...." Francis Bacon Sr.

I know that things can be really difficult. But we need to be happy about what we have or we will never be happy. Contentment is essential in life.

I love what you said here. My mother always used to tell me, "comparison is the thief of joy." I have never found that to be more true. Thanks for sharing!
